Bird in the Fiddle
We visited Bow Fiddle Rock a few days prior and I had the thought — “I wonder whether the sun will rise through the gap?” — and sure enough, it did! So I went back…
Alarm set for 3:15am for a 30-minute drive, arriving at 4am with sunrise at 5:05. That gave me plenty of time to work out compositions as the light built. The sunrise was incredible — that deep orange glow framed perfectly by the arch, with seabirds wheeling through the gap as the sun broke through the cloud for a brief few minutes.
