Piccadilly Sunrise
One winter morning I stepped off the train on the way to work, looked down the tracks into the blazing sun and thought — I need my camera for this. Thankfully the same conditions came back the next day.
I made my way to the end of the longest platform and found this. The sun burning through the station’s overhead gantries, silhouetting all that industrial geometry against the orange sky. And the rails — every track glowing like a line of fire as the light caught the steel and curved away across the whole frame. That’s the bit I came back for.
