What data we collect and why

When you place an order

When you purchase a print, we collect your name, email address, billing address, and shipping address. This information is used solely to process and fulfil your order. We do not store payment details — no card information passes through this website. Payment is by bank transfer, and you initiate that directly through your own bank.

Legal basis: Contract — we need this data to fulfil the order you have placed.

When you use the contact form

If you send a message via the contact form on the About page, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. This is used only to respond to your enquiry.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest — to respond to your communication.

Client galleries

If you access a password-protected client gallery, a temporary session cookie is stored in your browser to remember that you have authenticated. This cookie contains no personal data and expires when you close your browser or after a short period of inactivity.

Cookies

This website uses a small number of essential cookies:

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data is stored on servers operated by Hostinger, our web hosting provider, located within the EU/EEA. Order data is retained within WordPress/WooCommerce on that server only.

Print orders are fulfilled manually by Liam Hancox. No fulfilment company or third-party processor receives your data.

How long we retain your data

Order records are retained for 6 years from the date of the transaction, as required by HMRC for tax and accounting purposes. After that period they are permanently deleted.

Contact form messages are retained only as long as necessary to handle your enquiry, and then deleted.

Session and gallery cookies expire automatically as described above.

Your rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email liam@liamhancox.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.
